The Gompa, which traditionally and locally known is remarkably built on sand stone, dating back to 11th century was built by Rinchen Zangpo. The monastery houses some of the best murals and frescoes representing the Kashmiri style of Buddhist iconography. Day 01 Leh-Lamayuru
Drive to Lamayuru enroute visit Liker and Alchi Monastery. Reach Leh by afternoon. Overnight in camp.
Day 02 Lamayuru-Wanla
Walk down along the stream towards east and then after 20 minutes cross the stream near the Chorten. Walk along another stream towards southward and then east up to the Prikiting La. After the pass you reach down the river in the Shillakung valley. The trail to the right also leads to Zangskar via Snigutse La. Take the right trail with chorten and Mani wall. Cross the river and the campsite is reached passing through the houses near the second bridge and tented restaurant.
Day 03 Wanla-Hinju
Leave Wanla for Hinju after the breakfast the nice views of mountains and narrow gorges. The Hinju village comes with the prayer flags in the starting of village. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 04 Hinju-Sumda Chenmo
Procced towards Sumda Chenmo via Konski La 4900 mtrs. From where you can have a view of back route from Pirkiti La. The Valley across the Kanski La has a few huts of shepherds from Hinju where they make butter and cheese.. Overnight in Camp.
Day 05 Sumda Chenmo-Sumda Chun
The trail leads towards north to Sumda along with Sumda chu . Arrive Sumda Chun visit thousand year old monastery. Overnight in the Camp.
Day 06 Sumda Chun-Alchi
Have a fantastic view from Stakspila & trail leads to Alchi village. Overnight in the Hotel.
Day 07 Alchi-Leh After the breakfast drive to Leh. Reach Leh by afternoon.
Overnight in Leh.
Day 08 Leh-Delhi
After breakfast transfer to Airport to board flight to Delhi.
